A spiritual awakening
ALAPPUZHA: Sree Krishna Varnana, which began on Saturday on the fourth day of the Akhila Bharatha Sreemad Narayaneeya Maha Sathram being held at the Thuravoor Mahavishnu Temple, took the devotees to a new world of spiritual awakening.
The fourth day’s programme, which began at 8 a m and concluded by 5.30 p m, witnessed the rendering of Dashakams 39 to 59 in the Narayaneeyam.
As many as 35,000 devotees thronged at the Sathra Vedi to hear the discourse that touched subjects ranging from Sreekrishna Janmolsavam, Poothana Moksham, Bala Leela and Namakaranam.
It began with the presentation of the Sreekrishna Janmolsavam which was handled by C V Achuthan Kutty Warrier. The discourse on Poothana Moksham was anchored by Mithunapalli Vasudevan Nampoothiri.
Pulloormana Manivarnan Nampoothiri elaborated the inner meanings in the Dashakams. Peringodu Sankaranarayanan Nampoothiri recited Bala Leela and Namakaranam whereas M Parameswaran Nampoothiri dealt with Viswaroopa Darsanam.
On the fifth day of the Narayaneeya Sathram on Sunday, Rugmini Swayavaram will be recited at the Yanjasala.
