10th anniversary of India’s glorious victory in Kargil – Pay glowing tribute to martyrs

As you are aware coming July 26, 2010 is 10th anniversary of India’s glorious victory in Kargil war, when Indian army with its irrepressible valour inflicted crushing defeat on Pakistan.

 

527 soldiers of Indian army got martyred in Kargil war. In order to pay glowing tribute to these martyrs, the Bharatiya Janata Party has decided to celebrate 26 July as Kargil Victory Day at national level.

 

BJP workers will visit this day the homes of the brave soldiers of your state martyred in Kargil War, meet their family members to pay your grateful tributes to those martyrs and also hold torch procession or homage meeting on prominent place of your area. Homage can also be paid by lighting candles and keeping MAUN on martyrs memorial.

 

The Indian Army with its valour and bravery pushed back Pakistani trespassers with in 74 days. Kargil war was the only war where India got victory on field as well as on negotiation table.

 

The object behind this programme is to pay gratefulness to the martyrs, to arouse public-awakening against the attempts of demoralizing of Indian army and security forces by terrorists, separatists, Naxalites and other self-styled outfits.

 

On this day, the prominent people would pay due homage to Kargil martyrs in the evening at 5:30 PM on Amar Jawan Jyoti, India Gate, New Delhi.
