VHP to organise awareness campaign on Ram Mandir from Aug 16

Three day meeting of Vishwa Hindu Parishad leadership, concluded in Ayodhya, last week. This is the first time since the Babri Masjid was demolished and temporary Mandir of Ram Lala constructed 18 years back on 6th Dec.,1992.

Meeting was held at Karsevakpuram, a place owned by Ram Janambhumi Nayas,  an organization sponsored by VHP, which is spearheading the movement for construction of a grand Ram Mandir at the place of Bhagwan Rams birth.  

Meeting was called for chalking the next course of action needed for the construction of Ram Mandir.  

According to VHP, next phase of movement will start on 16th August, 2010 at Nine o’clock in the morning. At that time, 5,000 temples in Ayodhya will begin a simultaneous recitation of ‘Hanuman Chalisa’. In this phase VHP intends to cover two lakh villages with in four months from 16th August, 2010.

To create unanimity among leaders on the issue of Ram Temple, Aabdeo said VHP leaders would soon meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi.

He called on the Muslim community to forget the past and extend their co-operation in constructing the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya

The importance of this phase of movement is that the Lucknow bench of Allahabad High Court completed the hearing on the four land dispute cases relating to land where Ram Janmasthan was till 15th Century which was later demolished by Muslim King Babars generals to construct the Masjid, which is non-existent today.   Verdict is expected to be in favour of Hindus.
