Lord Muruga temple in Palani nets record Rs 87.99 cr income
PALANI: The income of the famous Sri Dhandayuthapaniswamy Temple here during Fasli year (July 1,2009 to June 30 2010) stood at a record Rs.87.99 crore, a steep increase of Rs.13.23 crore compared to the previous year.
Temple officials said the income included Hundi collections of Rs.17 Crore, interest on bank investments Rs.23 crore and sale of tickets and golden chariot seva Rs.13.84 crore
