Take over more temples to aid Mosques and to give salary to Imams
New Delhi: No voices of our representatives have raised so far in our Indian Parliament against Government take over of Temples and looting and destroying them by various Indian States, We have MP’s to speak not only for aiding Mosques by tax payers money but also to provide salaries to Imams in these mosques!
Lalu Prasad’s Rashtriya Janata Dal and Mamta’s Trinamool Congress are now demanding Government Salaries to Imam’s in mosques. “Once we return to power in Bihar, we will implement the decision in the state,” Prasad said. To a question on some Bharatiya Janata Party members opposing the move, Prasad said, “If they have any problem, they too can approach the apex court for granting similar facilities to sadhus and saints.” He also threatened a ‘mass agitation’ if directives were not implemented at the earliest. Expressing similar sentiments, Trinamool Congress leader Sudip Bandhyopadhyay said his party supported RJD on the issue as ‘imams in West Bengal were in a bad state and facing economic crisis.!
All major temples especially in South India is under the control of Government and utter mismanagement is it’s result. While the income generated from the temples are shared by the Devaswom officials appointed by ruling political party and political leaders devotees are kept away from temple administration and management. For the government devotees role in temple management is only to donate generously to fill the coffers. It is interesting to note that RJD and TMC is calling only for aiding these mosques and not to administer it by the Government as in the case of temples.
