Ladakh Union Territory Front merge with BJP

Leh, Sept 15 (PTI) The BJP today said it will fight at all levels to secure Union Territory status for Ladakh. The assurance came from former party chief Rajnath Singh at a function held here today to mark the merger of Ladakh Union Territory Front with the BJP. “Our party will fight at all levels to secure Union Territory status for Ladakh,” Rajnath said welcoming the LUTF leaders into the party fold. He also asked the Centre to handle terrorism and anti-national elements with an iron hand. On China issuing stapled visas to people from Jammu and Kashmir, he said India should also issue such visas to people from Tibet. Front leader Thupstan Chhewang said the LUTF had merged with BJP as its voice was never heard by the Centre. Later, Singh accompanied by other party leaders, visited the flood-hit areas of Leh and interacted with the victims
