Assault on Lady Presiding Officer – CPM leader under arrest
CPM Kanichukulangara local committee secretary S Radhakrishnan who assaulted a lady presiding officer during the just concluded local body elections has surrendered before Mararikkulam CI today.
Radhakrishnan has assaulted the presiding officer T Usha and forcefully taken away the ballet papers in booth number 10 at SL Puram GSMHSS. The incident was recorded in camera and hence there were no way Marxists can wash their hands on this incident. Otherwise it would not have been in media at all.
Bail application by S Radhakrishnan was rejected yesterday by the sessions court and the area Committee had recommended him to surrender as they recognised that this incident has already done a big damage to CPM.
One can only hope to have video recording on all polling booths across Kerala to capture such Marxist atrocities and booth capturing.
