Tirupati: In yet another victory in the battle against the move by Anti Hindu Mr DK Audikesavulu Naidu Tirumala TirupatiDevasthanams (TTD) Trust Board chairman to gold plate Lord Venkateswara temple at Tirumala, AP high cout upheld the objection raised by Janata Party leader and former Union Minister Subramanya Swamy.’Ananda Nilayam Anantha Swarnamayam’ was the pet project of Late YSR Reddy and  Audikesavulu Naidu with a motive of usurping crores by fooling Hindus.

According to Subramanya Swamy, Audikesavulu Naidu is a misfit to serve Venkatachalapathy and termed him as ‘an unethical person and ‘liquor businessman”. He alleged Mr Naidu was using his office  to foster his business interests and he didnt have any concern to uphold the traditional values of the temple. ”He is completely ignorant of the sanctity of the agama sastras, which dont permit the gold plating project in the temple,” Swamy said earlier in a press meet.

Dr Swamy held objection to the contention of the TTD that before launching the swarnamayam project, the ancient writings and epigraphically valuable texts on the temple walls were being digitised. ”If you (the TTD) can convince the devotees by robbing them of the opportunity to see the edicts on the temple walls by covering them the gold plating works, the TTD can also provide the CDs and photographs of the Lord himself to the devotees, so that they could be stopped from coming to the temple to have the direct look at the Lord”
