What prevents authorities from naming Nedumbassery Airport after Jagad guru Adi Sankara?

Kalady: Hindu society’s demand to honour Adi Sankara by naming  Nedumbassery International  Airport near his home town has been neglected even after repeated demands and this shows the attitude of the authorities towards this Jagath Guru who regained the lost glory of Bharath, highlighted the resolution passed here in the Hindu sanyasi meeting held here.Apart from Spiritual leaders representing various Hindu mutts , Spiritual leaders from Tamilnadu, Karnataka and Madya pradesh were present.

Pilgrimage to kalady on Sankarajayanthi should become a pilgrimage similar to Sabarimala Pilgrimage and for that all spiritual leaders should take proactive steps to enlighten masses about the life and importance of Adi Sankara and the great sage’s significance in present day.

Rashtreeya Swayam Sevak Sangj organised Maha Parikrama . VHP National working president S Vedantham inaugurated the function. Other diginatories including BVK dirtector P Parameswarji, RSS Pranthsanghachalak P E B Menon, and others were present to witness the Mahaparikrama in Kalady in which thousands bearing saffron flag were present which was culminated following ‘Nadhipooja’ (River Pooja) at Poorna river.Students of Thanthra Vidya Peedom supervised Nadhipooja.

It was not by physical strength but by his spiritual strength and vedic knowledge, Sri Sankara regained the glory of Sanathana Dharma reminded S Vedantham in his inaugural speech and stressed the need for Dharma Jagran among Hindus.
