Why terrorists hacked Kerala Civil Supplies Website ?
“The civil supplies web site has been hacked by terrorists. So the site is suspended temporarily. The problem will be resolved soonâ€.
The above given message has been sent out from the Civil Supplies Officeto all the Akshaya Kendras in the state who have been entrusted with the responsibility of processing ration cards in the state.
This site is currently under Maintainence – http://civilsupplieskerala.gov.in/
Ever since the Ration Card processing has been made online and the responsibility was passed on to the Akshaya Kendras in the state, it has been going on very smoothly and the public were delighted to have an escape from the red tapism hitherto experienced with the supply offices in each Taluk.
The fact that the site has been hacked by Pakistanis point to the nexus that those so called `terrorists’ and certain groups in the state may be having. It was to every one’s knowledge that in certain parts of the state, creation of dentity cards and ration cards have been going on unabated and the processing of ration cards on line has put an end to that. It clearly shows how vigilant they are in dislodging our systems and from which all corners the help reaches them! Do realize that unless we are extra alert, our very existence is at stake.
Identity theft is one of the biggest upcoming Cyber Crime . The hacked informations about individuals can be used by terrorists for various Anti National activities. Nation needs to be extra cautious with those websites which uses Identity related informations.
