Spectrum impact: Atheist Karunanidhi’s daughter seeks God’s mercy

The family members of atheist DMK president M. Karunanidhi are busy seeking divine intervention to ward off the ill-luck plaguing the clan ever since the spectrum scam surfaced.
His Bengaluru-based daughter and aunt of the Maran brothers, Ms Selvi, appears to be spearheading the spiritual tour. Early this week, Ms Selvi along with a female member of the Maran family, performed a special Rahu-Kethu sarpa dosha pooja at Sri Kalahasti temple in Andhra Pradesh.

Ms Selvi avoided the media glare at the temple. The group performed the special pooja which is believed to bring longevity and ward off ill-luck. Karunandhi’s daughter, who also took the blessings of the priests after the pooja, offered special prayers for her elder brothers M.K. Stalin and M.K. Alagiri besides half-sister Kanimozhi.
