Pakistan High Commission official and his wife sneaked into Sree Padmanabha Swamy Temple

via HK published on July 23, 2011

Supreme Court directed to provide high security to Sree Padmanabha temple and the state government assured all concerned and the general public that the highest security arrangement has been provided to the temple.

But to every ones surprise, Pakistan High Commission official Abeed Said and his wife Nagmana visited the temple on Thursday 21 July and sneaked out of the state by flight. It is to common knowledge that maximum High commission/Embassy officials are intelligence personnel in disguise and they enjoy diplomatic immunity under Geneva Convention. But in every country, such officials are kept under watch by government intelligence agencies and they will not be allowed in restricted and sensitive areas. In Pakistan, and Indian official even with the diplomatic passport and visa will be closed followed by the Pakistani Rangers and will not allow the Indians close to any restricted area. But here, it is a mystery as to how a Pakistani high commission official and his wife got into the temple which now has maximum security arrangement.

Repercussions of such a visit cannot be ignored when we relate such events to the attack on Tajmahal hotel and the Parliament house itself. Hindu Aikyavedi General Secretary Kummanam Rajasekharan has already asked the Chief Minister to initiate legal action against the Pakistani officials.
