Kerala State Information Commission’s Efficiency!
This is to highlight the crass manner of functioning of the Kerala State Information Commission. The matter, of totally wayward manner of functioning of the KSIC, has been brought to the notice of even the Kerala Chief Minister and the reply received from the CM’s grievances cell has been a terse ‘we have no authority to issue any directions to the information commission’, forcing one to comment ‘as if the only responsibility of the Govt is to appoint the commissioners and entertain them at the tax payers’ cost!’ The problem gets compounded when after two years the appellant gets a notice for a hearing with a totally new appeal number quoted!
Yours truly
P M Ravindran

1. Refer your acknowledgement dated 18/6/11 (or is it 18/7/11?), posted on 19/7/2011 and received by me on 22/7/2011. This acknowledgement refers to my complaint of 4/7/2011 (or is it 4/6/2011?) and has been given a registration number 7266/(03)/G1/SIC/11 by you.
2. This is to inform you that I have NOT filed any complaint either on 4/6/2011 or 4/7/2011.
3. I had filed three 2nd appeals on 30/6/2011 vide my letter No RTI/ ksic-300611-cl dated 30 Jun 2011. The same could have been delivered at your office on 4/7/2011(which by no stretch of imagination would mean that my complaint is dated 4/7/2011!). I am yet to collect the PoD from the courier company. The three 2nd appeals have the following file numbers assigned by me:
3.1.   RTI/cmk-sic appt-2nd appeal-300611 dated 30 Jun 2011
3.2.   RTI/dpr-2nd appeal-300611dated 30 Jun 2011and
3.3.   RTI/minofcs ker-2nd appeal-300611 dated 30 Jun 2011.
4. You are required to clarify which of my 2nd appeals does your registration number pertain to and what has happened to the other two?
