Maoists kill BJP activist in Orissa
Report by Jyoti Prakash; Bhubaneswar: Suspected Maoists shot dead a grass root level worker of the Bharatiya Janata party (BJP) in Orissa’s Malkangiri district.
The dead body of Purnachandra Dalai was found at Chitrakonda near a reservoir. According to police, more than half a dozen maoists came in a boat and opened fire at him Friday night when he was sitting on the shore.
The incident took place a few hours after five rebels surrendered in Rourkela.
Malkangiri is worst maoist affected district in Orissa. Maoists are active in 19 districts of the state
