RSS Legal Notice to Ramesh Chennithala and Vishnunath
RSS Prnath Sangh Chalak PEB Menon has sent notice to Ramesh Chennithala and Vishnnath through Advocate P.Vijayakumar against their statement about RSS involvement in Gandhi assassination.
Former Supreme Court Judge Justice K.T. Thomas while addressing a RSS meet at the TDM Hall in Kochi on 01 August 2011 made a statement that there were three enquiry commissions held to find out RSS involvement in Gandhi’s assassination and all the three enquiry commissions made it clear that the RSS had no involvement in the assassination. It was against this statement of Justice K.T. Thomas that congress leaders Chennithala and Vishnunath came out with the statements that the RSS had involvement in Gandhi assassination and Justice Thomas must withdraw his statement and render an apology. There had been widespread criticism against the statements of Chennithala and Vishnunath and many Hindu organizations urged to initiate legal action against these leaders for their derogative statements on RSS and misguiding the public.
Through the notice, Mr.Menon asserted that the statements of the above two congress leaders defamed RSS and hurt the feelings of its members. Thereby; he has demanded that both these leaders should render unconditional apology and issue separate statements through all the media within one week; or else he shall proceed with the defamation case
