Seminar conducted on resolving Mullaperiyar Dam issue
Kottayam: Amidst provocative moorings by Medias and Political parties of either side of Sahya Mountains over Mullaperiyar issue – Bharatheeya Vichara Kendram raised to the occasion and organized a seminar in Kottayam on how to amicably solve the issue. The seminar was organised jointly by Bharatheeya Vichara Kendram, Bharatheeya Abhibhashaka Parishath and Aurbindo learning Centre.
Bharatheeya Vicharakendram suceeded in bring leaders and experts of both state in a common platform.Sree Perumal, state Gen Sec TN BJP and Sri Jayakumar, Industrialist from Pollachi and Shri Karinkunnam Ramachandran Nair presented papers.BJP leader Ettumanoor Radhakrishnan and Adv.Radhakrishnan nair also were spoke. RSS Dakshina Kshetriya Boudhik Pramukh J Nandakumar moderated the delibrations. Seminar has passed below resolutions on this issue.
1. Issue should be seen from a nationalist perspective.
2. Rivers are national wealth
3. PM should act immediately.
5. Empowered committee should submit their without any delay.
6. Stop spreading fear among public.
7. Start constructing Dam as an act to reduce the panic created
8. Make sure that the required water shall reach the needy.
9.Agreement shall be re drafted with mutual respect and concern
10. Enquire the possibility of supplying the water through a channel at the height of 70′.
