Dam: VHP calls for dialogue
VHP’s newly elected international working president Pravin Togadia has said that Kerala and Tamil Nadu should resolve the Mullaperiyar dam dispute through dialogue. “Hurting Keralites in Tamil Nadu and Tamils in Kerala will only destroy the country’s fabric, Togadia told reporters in Kochi. He also called for the intervention of the Centre in the issue. He also said that VHP stood for a country-wide ban on cow slaughter. Bajrang Dal volunteers would start an agitation against cow slaughter, he said.
