Modi dedicates victory to people,Its a win for India’s development.

                Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi on Thursday thanked the people of the state for giving the BJP another chance to serve the state.

With the election results pointing towards a convincing victory for Modi in Gujarat, he thanked the people of Gujarat for their support in Ahmedabad today.
Modi spoke in Ahmedabad after winning the Gujarat assembly for the third time in a row.

“I thank the people of Gujarat,” said Modi and also noted, “People vote intelligently, beating all analysis. Gujarat voters have proved this.”

He congratulated the voters and declared that ‘Gujarat’s voters are heroes’.

He also emphasised that the voters knew what was good and bad for the country.

“People have voted thinking if Gujarat prospers, I will prosper,” he said and promised his voters that the state was on the road to development.

“Gujarat voters have proved that people make their choice based on development and progress”, he said.

He said,”Politics of divide and rule has been defeated as the people of Gujarat want progress and good governance.”

He further added, “If I have made a mistake I ask my 6 crore Gujarati brothers and sisters for forgiveness”.

He also said: “I have not made personal attacks though I may have used strong words during the elections.”

He also congratulated govt workers and said he made them work hard in 10 years.

“Gujarat’s voters are heroes today”, he said.

He also said that Gujarat voters have proved that people make their choice based on development and progress.

According to latest media reports on the counting of votes, BJP has bagged 115 seats out of state’s 182 , with the chief minister scoring a hat-trick. The Congress has won 61 seats while others have won 6 seats.

Modi trounced his nearest Congress rival Shweta Bhatt by a margin of 86,373 votes, while BJP also bagged Amraivadi, Mangrol and Karanj seats.

Celebrations have already begun across the state with BJP workers smearing each others face with gulal and beating drums in the streets of Ahmedabad and elsewhere.
