Attempt by Islamists on Maha Shivarathiri Day to denigrate Hindutva defeated by alert Hindus
CHENNAI : Bang on holy Maha Shivarathiri day (February 20), an Islamist outfit in Mylapore Chennai, displayed a banner with the aim of denigrating belief and worship of Hindus right in front of the ancient Kapaleeshwar Temple, Chennai.
Hinduism is a religion that is very near to nature. It asks its followers to see God in every object in the Universe. Worship of Panchabhoothas — air, water, fire, Sun, Moon, Stars, and Earth is specially recommended.
To denigrate Hinduism and convert Hindus in their religious fold – Tamil Nadu Thowheeth Jamath (TNTJ) a Muslim outfit of Mylapore Branch has placed a banner questioning “Is Sun and Moon are God?â€
Do not Prostrate to the Sun and Moon:
“Among His Signs are the Night and the Day and the sun and moon. Prostrate not to the Sun and the Moon but Prostrate to Allah Who created them if it is Him ye wish to serve.” (41:37)
This banner is placed just ahead of Maha Shivarathri-a Hindu religious festival, where thousands of devotees throng the temple. Hindu Munnani activists informed the Commissioner of Police, Chennai, requested to remove the banner, failing which will result into huge protest by them. Immediately, the police removed the banner.
The evil attempt by an extremist islamist outfit of Mylapore Chennai to vilify Hindu way of worship was promptly defeated by alert Hindus.
