So the “Maoist-Abducted” (abducted maoist more appropriate?) Collector Alex Paul (Tamil) Menon will walk home free in 48 hours, which is a Great Triumph for Indian Secular, Social-Justice-cum-Minority-Rights-impregnated Democracy.

Another Hostage Crisis Drama which the Tax Paying Public has enjoyed. The Paying Audience which has been shedding tears and holding its breath, candles etc.

That the murderers of two innocent guards employed by the government also will walk the corridors of Power free is something which should not be mentioned.

Nor the fact that umpteen Terrorists pending our cumebrsome Due Process will almost certainly be released in “fair exchange” without fanfare a subject of any concern for anyone.

As the Urdu poet said, “paisa dekhey marwaley.”
