Dog biting men and Yellow journalism.

“20% of banned hate sites put up by Hindu groups”, wow that was indeed eye catching and the existence of saffron terrorism is proved once again. Hail them, the creators and manipulators of news. John B. Bogart a well-known journalist stated “When a dog bites a man that is not news, because it happens so often. But if a man bites a dog, that is news.” They just shadowed it. But is it what common man expects from the fourth pillar which holds them up?  Don’t they have the right to know the truth? If they are called yellow journalists they may bark. But if they would prefer to charm the crowd by filling the half-baked warped news in the allotted space rather than the reality ,then they must know what they do is yellow journalism.

There is a question which is more important to common man, who wants to know the truth rather than being entertained. “Who put up 80% of banned sites?” The 2001 census reported that 80.5% of Indians are Hindus. 13.4% Islam, 2.3% Christians 1.9% Sikhs, 0.8% Buddhists, and 0.4% belong to Jainism.  What does it mean? 80% of the banned sites are hosted by 19.5% non-Hindus. When we consider this population ratio non Hindus hosted banned sites or hatred messages 16 times than what Hindus did. Particularizing it more we can tell, when Hindus host such one site 16 sites are hosted by non-Hindus.   

 

The majority of banned sites are not hosted by Hindus. When it became news why did you drag Hindu name into this?  Who is answerable to this question? Let us assume nobody would be interested in answer such questions, but rather they interested in spreading their propaganda. Yes they want to prove it; the so called saffron terrorism exists. You prove it, you may be paid to prove that fact .But Why the common man of India should be misled when non-Hindus spread such propaganda just to prove the so called “Saffron Terrorism” exists? Or need we tell “that is not news, because it happens so often”? It is their right being a human being to know the truth.When Non-Hindus engage in these kinds of activities 16 times than a Hindu does and then you prefer to follow John B. Bogart, then you are the Yellow journalists, don’t bark, that is the truth.
