Stop Haj Subsidy – Supreme court

published on April 16, 2013

New Delhi : Central Government should completely stop Haj Subsidy within next 10 years, directed Supreme Court today.

Supreme court also directed that there is no need to take a person more than once through Govt. schemes and those who want to go repeatedly can go privately entirely on their own expense.1.7 lakh Muslims will go for Haj from India this year and out of those 1.25 lakh will get subsidy from the Nation’s coffers.

Every year number of Muslims going for Haj is increasing as proportional to their demographic rise. Ministers like E Ahmed will ensure that the Haj quota is increased every year. If it was 71,924 Muslims who went for Haj in 2000 by 2012 it has raised to 125,051!
