MANGALORE: “Some people have challenged that we do not have the ability bring Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi to Mangalore for election campaigning, but Modi is voluntarily coming to Mangalore for election campaigning,” said Nalin Kumar Kateel, BJP Member of Parliament here on Monday.

Talking to the reporters he said Modi will take part in election campaigning programme at Nehru Maidan on May 2 at 10am and he will arrive to the city in a special flight from Ahmedabad. On the same day Modi will campaign in Belgaum at afternoon, he added. “This programme has been organised to attract huge number of youths to vote for BJP in the state assembly elections,” said Nalin.
Since there is not enough time, the party is focussing more on Mangalore south and north, Bantwal, Moodbidri, and Sullia constituencies for election campaigning, he said.

The results of recent urban local body elections will not have any impact on BJP in DK district, he stated.
