Possible scenarios for UPA-3
How Congress would win the next elections
Â
All polls have consistently shown that the BJP is likely to win the next elections and that the Modi wave is working its way on the people. Does this mean that the BJP would form the next government. Logically, it should since this should translate into votes.
Â
However, this may not be the case for the following reasons:
Â
1. Dr Swamy has shown that in the previous election, Congress has indulged in some less than honorable means to wiin about 80 seats by tampering with the electronic vote machnes. Those in the know in the IT industry are aware about this – one said that it was about 90 seats. Even though the EVM now incorporates dispensation of a slip of paper to show that a person has voted, not all EVMs have this modfication. So, the possibility of tampering with EVMs is still there.
Â
2. It is well known that in the previous election, PC lost but won in the recount. How can this be posisble with EVMs? There is nothing to stop someone from showering immense wealth on a presiding officer to announce a desiarable outcome. So, the possibility is stil there for electoral fraud.
Â
3. Sri Sri Ravi Shankar has indicated in his Twitter page that there are 8 crore bogus voters in the electoral register and another 12 crore persons who are eligible to vote but are not in the register. Does this indicate something about the likely outcome of the election?
Â
4. Thanks to the national identity card nitiative, lots of foreigners have been given citizenship with scant ascertaining of their origins. Just google on this and read more! It is clear who they will vote for.
Â
5. THe Aam Aadmi Party is known to be a front of the Congress and its entrance in the electoral battle will help to split votes so that the batttle is no longer between the BJP and Congress. New factions will emerge after the polls as a third front and the Congess may well lead them to form the next government.
Â
Little wonder that the Congress has not put up an electrifying campaign as the BJP because they are confident of the outcome of the election!
Â
In the interest of fair elections, responsible people and those who believe in democracy should do something to ensure that elections are held accordingly and that fraud doe not emerge in this.
