Kerala Hindu Aikya Vedi state president Smt Sasikala teacher’s Bangalore visit was a great success. On September 21st she visited Art of Living Ashram and had a conversation with Sri Sri Ravishankarji. Accompanied by the ashram officials, she was shown the various activities in the Ashram including the College for Journalism, Veda Patashala and the Ayurveda College and Hospital.

On Sunday her first program was the informal get together of the members of the social service organization Uthishta. She was appraised by the Uthishta office bearers about their various activities.

Onam celebrations of Jayamahal Karayogam of Karnataka Nair Service Society was the next program. The venue was Taralabalu Kendra at RT Nagar. The Haindava Prabhashanam was organized in commemoration of Swami Vivekananda’s 150th birth anniversary celebrations. She was given a grand reception by the office bearers of the ladies wing of the organization. The stage had the decorated  photos of Bharatha Kesari Sri Mannath Padmanabhan and  Swami Vivekananda.

In her speech she reminded the audience about the historical role played by Mannam as the president of the Swami Vivekananda Rock Memorial construction committee. She warned Hindus not to fall in the traps of cultural denigration happening nowadays. The new trend of depicting Mahabali like a comedian is one such example.

She asked people to think as to why the government of Kerala is hiding the statistics when it comes to the number of Hindus and non-Hindus from the latest census report. There is reason to fear that the number of Hindus have drastically fallen in the state of Kerala. According to her, Hindus need to follow the paths shown by God through his ten avatharas. She elaborated this idea with few examples. The Mathsya avatharam came to recover Vedas, the great spiritual knowledge.

She said Hindus need to remember this and strive to recover and re-establish the prominence of our scripures. Following that Koorma came to support the effort of churning of Milk Ocean inorder to get Amrith. Hindus need to participate and support in organized efforts. Only then we will get Amruth and Lakshmi (prosperity). The Varaha avatharam came to recover earth. Even Hindus are facing the same situation. Land is being grabbed by others. We need to act like Varaham to recover and retain our lands.

Her last program in Bangalore was at Jalahalli Ayyappan temple which too was attended by an enthusiastic crowd of Malayalis.
