published on June 5, 2014
Officials from Jharkhand have come up with a serious allegation that the children who are victims of child trafficking are being sexually exploited and used for organ trafficking. Jharkhand has taken a stand of having rescued children from the racket.

Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun Munda has sought an inquiry from the Centre into the issue of child trafficking from various states into Kerala. He said he has already briefed Union Minister Rajnath Singh about the same.

“This is child trafficking, no doubt. An inquiry has to be conducted to look into the matter,” said officials from Jharkhand, after it came to light that a large number of children were brought into the various orphanages in Kozhikode and Malappuram from the state.

It has also been reported that a team of senior investigating officers from Jharkhand will reach Kerala to conduct a deeper probe into the matter. The Jharkhand government will also seek a CBI probe into the matter which has quite a large number of middle men from both states, operating in the background.
