Prime Accused in Coimbatore Serial Blasts Nabbed after 16 Years on the Run.
According to Coimbatore police, Kunhi Mohammed, who spent 16 years in hiding in various parts of India, was in Malappuram since four months. There are three other accused persons in the same case, who are yet to be arrested.
Kunhi Mohammed was chiefly instrument in carrying forth the materials required to execute the serial blasts of 14 February 1988 to Coimbatore, from Kerala. He is then said to have made all arrangements for a comfortable hideout for a couple of Al Ummah terrorists, which earned for him the spot of prime accused.
