ABVP Wins College Elections in Bengal After a Decade
KOLKATA : With the BJP making inroads in Bengal, its student wing Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) today won the students’ union elections in two colleges in the state after a decade.
“After a decade, the ABVP today won elections in colleges. We have won the students union in Lalpur college in Purulia district and have secured the highest number of seats in Jhaldah college,” Subir Haldar, ABVP state secretary told PTI.
Haldar said in Lalpur college ABVP won the majority but in Jhaldah college ABVP won 10 out 23 seats.
