AP Update: Chilkur Balaji Mandir – A great victory for Hindus

published on March 3, 2008

I wish to share a great news I received from Shri Kishore, Chilkur Balaji Mandir.

Readers may remember that the evil eyes of the AP
Endowment Department fell on this Mandir. They wanted to take it over
because it had

become a very important Mandir for the Hindus because the crowds started thronging.

All kinds of trouble were given to Shri
Soundararajan, the Trustee and Chief Priest. The Government constituted
a commission under

Shri  RVVK Prasad (IAS) Retd,
who is former Executive Officer of the TTD to get opinion from the
public as also to recommend the

Government on the Mandir’s takeover.

Due to tireless work of Shri Kishore ji, Hindu
Devalaya Parirakshana Samiti and others, lots of emails were sent to
this commission, in support of the Mandir remaining

independent of the AP Endowment Department.

I have just recd news that the AP Chief Minister has announced in the Assembly today that the Chilkur Balaji Mandirwould retain its Autonomous status and will NOT be taken over by the Endowment Department.

Thanks Samuel. Some good sense seems to have prevailed on you.

I wish he keeps the promise made to us during our recent meeting with him under the leadership of Dr Subramanian Swamy and scrap the idea of Govt sponsored Dharmik Parishad and invite the Hindu Dharma Acharya Sabha to constitute theDharmik Sabha in AP to administer the first set of 30,000 Mandirs his government finds “non-profitable” and leave it to the adminsitration of Hindu Bhaktas.

I share with you the typical response of Dr Subramanian Swamy in his SMS to me, after I sent him the good news:

“Congrats indeed. First battle won. Now we must win the war”.

Namaste,
S V Badri
