Sadhu-Sant Samellan:Initiative to protect temples

Under the auspices of Devalaya Parirakshana Samiti a
Sadhu-Sant sammelan was held in Bhagyanagar (Hyderabad) on Nov’13th 2005.VHP International President, Shri.Ashok Singhal ji gave his margadarshan.

Some of the resolutions that were adopted are:

1. To manages Maths, Temples an Independent Dharmik mandali needs to be established by a government act.
This mandali should be free from politicalinterference. Government should immediately takes steps in this direction and approach all the sadhus,sants of different hindu traditions, representatives of different Hindu religious organisations and initiate the consultation process.

2. The government should release a white paper on the
status of assets of different temples .

3. Sale and purchase of temple lands should be stopped
with immediate effect. Lands which were taken over illegally by third parties, should be procured back by
a governmental ordinance. A system should be established for quick resolution of related cases.

4. All the temple funds should be relieved of governmental control and a separate Temple bank should be established for efficient mangement of funds.
