Shivaji Exhibition  was inaugurated by Sri B S Yedyurappa the Karnataka CM along with the Irrigation minister Mr Basavaraj Bommai and the founder of Maine Group of Industries Mr Sudarshan Kumar Maine .Â

The inaugural programme started with Mr Sandeep Kumar Maine introducing the exhibition, Francois gautier and welcoming the guests. Mr Francois Gautier and Mrs Namrita Gautier ,Trustees FACT , invited the CM and the minister on to the dias and introduced FACT the trust that they founded in 2003. The endeavours of FACT including exhibitions onAurangzeb, Shivaji, Naxalism, Ahilyabai Holkar, Kashmiri Pandits, Bangladeshi Minorities, Sikhism as also the yet to be completed Gun History of India impressed the CM.Â

Mr Gautier spoke on the relavence of Shivaji and how for the exhibition it was a lot difficult to find a book on Shivaji in Mumbai / Pune while Biographies on Hitler and Nepolean were readily available. And he explained how Aurangazeb Exhibition was shut down for no valid legal reason and FACT and its volunteers had to suffer for almost 6 months the harassment from Police and Tamil Nadu Government.He said thank god we atleast have the exhibition released atleast after six months of our volunteers efforts.He asked where have the candle light protesters and freedom of expression advoctes been hiding all through the time. The chief minister was impressed by the Art and History blended exhibition and promised all support to such endeavours including screening the same exhibition in the Vidhana Soudha and also promised to support in taking the exhibition to the schools and colleges in and around Karnataka.

He said Shivaji is one iconic son of India that can be ideal hero for the government and the people. Terrorism today is threatening the society and its not just the Government but a partnership with common man that can solve this menance.
