BJP condemns Suryanarayan’s killing
NEW DELHI : The Bharatiya Janata Party today strongly condemned the brutal killing of K Suryanarayan, the Indian engineer who was killed by the Islamic militants in Afghanistan on Sunday morning.
“We condemn the brutal killing of Shri K Suryanarayanan and our sympathies are with members of the braved family,” Prakash Javadekar, party spokesman, said.
He blamed the UPA government for not taking timely action in the matter and recollected the killing of Maniappan Kutty by the Taliban militants in the similar circumstances.
“The government should adopt pro-active role and talk to the governments of Iraq and Afganistan, where Indians are involved in such reconstruction activities and ensure the safety of our citizens,” he said.
