19 Hindu’s Killed in Kashmir

Early on Monday morning, heavily armed militants shot dead 19 Hindu villagers in Doda. The incident occurred hours after the police recovered the bodies of four Hindus from village Ludana, Basantgarh in Udhampur on Sunday night. On Monday, nine more bodies were found in the area. Militants had abducted at least 15 villagers from the area on Sunday.

The militants opened indiscriminate fire at the unarmed villagers huddled inside the house. 22 villagers died on the spot while eight others were critically wounded. The injured have been airlifted to Jammu for specialised treatment,” Jammu range police chief inspector general of police Dr S P Vaid said.
