Former Union Minister and National Spokesperson of the BJP Ravi Shankar Prasad today alleged that the present ego clash between the Prime Minister and HRD Minister, Mr Arjun singh could be termed as Mandal Commission War two, as in the case of Mandal Commission War one between Mr V P Singh and late Devi Lal.

Speaking to reporters here Mr Prasad said that the quota of reservation in higher studies motivated by the Congress-led UPA Government and its subsequent developments is “nothing but an ego clash between the Union Human Resources and Development(HRD) Minister Arjun Singh and the Prime Minister.”

He has also urged the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to hold an informal enquiry against the Union Communication and IT Minister Dayanidhi Maran for his threat against Industrialist Ratan Tata in the DTH scam.

He said that the Prime Minister should hold discussion with Mr Tata to expose the truth and to bring the issue into limelight, as it was of a serious nature. The DTH proposal was approved by the NDA Government in a transparant manner, he said adding the BJP would raise this issue in Parliament.
