Gujarat cinemas not to screen Aamir’s new film
AHMEDABAD : The Gujrat Multiplex Owners Association has decided Aamir Khan’s latest film Fanaa not be screen in any part of Gujarat due to his remarks against Gujrat Government and Chief Minister Narendra Modi over Vadodara incidents.
The Multiplex Owners Association has taken this decision keeping public sentiment against Aamir Khan over his controversial remarks.
BJP spokesperson in Gujarat, Yamal Vyas had said, “We will certainly oppose screening of the movie in Gujarat and will continue to oppose it until he apologises. Aamir Khan must realise that innocent people are killed in Kashmir everyday too.”
Aamir Khan’s Rang De Basanti had also been taken off the screens when he had spoken in favour of the Narmada Bachao Andolan.
Fanaa‘s producer Yash Chopra had traveled to Gandhinagar and met chief minister Narendra Modi a few days ago to speak to him about the controversy and how it will impact the film.
