Rs. 3 lakhs to jawans who foiled Ayodhya attack
Lucknow, June. 7 (PTI): Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi has given a reward of Rs 3 lakhs to the Uttar Pradesh PAC personnel who foiled the terrorist attack on the acquired land complex at Ayodhya on July 5 last year.
The money had been received by state police headquarters and would soon be distributed among the PAC jawans who were engaged in the operation, police officials said today.
UP Director General of Police Bua Singh has, meanwhile, recommended to Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav announcing of a reward of Rs 2 lakhs for the Special Task Force team that worked out the twin blasts at Sankat Mochan temple and Cantonment railway station at Varanasi on March 7 this year.
