Missionary activities at Thirupathi

The fact finding committee constituted by Peetadhipathi of Udipi based Pejjavar Mutt Sri
Visweswaratirtha Swamy to verify the rumors of proselytizing of Christianity on Thirumala, heard the viewpoints of TTD officials, employees and devotees at Saranagathi Ashram in Tiruchanoor today.

About 70 people deposed before committee that the TTD Kalyanamandapam in Nagalapuram in the district was being used for propagation of Christainity. The devotees also expressed their resentment against the commercialization of Tirumala, including the TTD. Only the wealthy and influential are getting an opportunity to get a good darshan of Lord Venkateswara whereas all
others had to be content with a brief glimpse of the Lord, they lamented.
