Thackeray’s wife’s statue desecrated

Mumbai: A Statue of Meenatai Thackeray, the late wife of Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray, was desecrated by unidentified miscreant. The miscreants smeared mud on the statue of Meenatai located at Shivaji Park, near to Shiv Sena headquarters in Dadar.
Reports from Mumbai indicates idols of Lord Ganesh and Lord Hanuman were also desecrated, probably by the same miscreants.
Situation is still tense and Bandhs have been observed in many parts of the suburbs
