RSS chief asks people to adopt traditional Indian systems
Bhopal, July 9 (PTI): The Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh Chief K S Sudarashan today asked people to adopt traditional Indian systems to win over challenges posed by “centralised British system of governance, growing network of churches and jehadi terrorism that can cause nuclear war.”
“Dwindling self-respect of people and their failure to uphold glorious Indian traditions were the root causes of challenges like poverty, unemployment, communal conflicts, Muslim and Christian appeasement, western influence on traditions and onslaught of multinational companies,” Sudarshan said here.
Delivering a lecture on ‘Challenges Faced by India’ during birth centenary celeberations of former Sangh Sarsanghchalak M S Golwalkar, the RSS chief said people should unite and awaken their self-respect to face the challenges.
After 2011, the ‘Sandhi Kaal’ of 175 years predicted by Swami Vivekananda will end opening new frontiers for the country, he said adding, India will have a bright future, but will have to deal with “evil forces like Jehadi terrorism, that can even lead to a nuclear war, and growing network of churches”.
Accusing British of “destroying traditional Indian system that provided job to every hand and allowed villages to work as an independent republics effecting local development”, he said decentralised, nature-friendly and village-based system was replaced by one that was centralised, urban and anti-nature.
Adoption of this centralised system has retarded development and has led to unemployment and poverty, he added.
