Theni; A safe hide out for Islamic Terrorists

KOZHIKODE: Shamsudheen, who was arrested by the Coimbatore police in connection with the recovery of explosives, is heading the conversion wing of the  Islamic terrorist organisation Manidha Neethi Pasarai at their stronghold in Theni district of Tamilnadu.


Theni in Tamil Nadu is is the main centre where the conversions  are being carried out.Theni is the stronghold of Islamic Fundamentalist in Tamilnadu. Muslim extremist network is strong in Theni under the leadership of a person who was working as a ticket examiner in the Indian Railways. He was later dismissed from service.

Commitment to Islam by the newly converts are tested by engaging them in Terrorist activities.Hyder Ali, an accomplice of the extremist Imam Ali who was killed by the police in an encounter, is a convert whose actual name was Sounder Rajan.

Asharf and Subair, the two accused in the
Coimbatore blasts case, are also from Kozhikode. They were picked up by the police for harbouring Ooma Babu.

It is suspected that the extremist outfits in Kerala and other states in the country have already established close links. Apart from sharing a strong antipathy towards the Hindus, they also help each other in times of crises.

The Terrorist leaders from Kerala have attended the study classes and workshops organised by extremist organisations in other South Indian states.
