Malegaon,Muslims & Media’s madness

Close on the heels of Mumbai blasts, before the central & state governments wake up from their deep slumber & stand to face the reality, despite being aware of another attack on its way, the terrorists have attacked Malegaon, which is predominantly a Muslim dominated area. It was extremely sorrowful to see more than 30 people dead & hundreds injured including many children in the bomb blasts. It is unbelievable and even the police would not have expected such an occurrence, that too outside a Mosque. Only a thorough probe would bring out the facts, whether it was done to create communal conflict or to give a stern warning to the Muslim community not to join the mainstream in the fight against terrorism.

The fact, which is proved beyond doubt by this incident, is that, our country has been made as an extremely soft target by the UPA government in the last two and a half years. Of late, the frequency of terror strikes has increased to a larger extent and it is high time the UPA government starts acting, rather than simply talking & then forgetting. There is no point in blaming the intelligence & the police officers, as they have not been given a free hand in curtailing terrorism. The present government should stop its vote bank politics & policy of appeasement immediately and pull up its socks to face the challenge on a war footing. It should revamp the security system, fill up the vacancies, provide the necessary infrastructures, bring back POTA and give the police & investigative authorities a free hand to crush the anti national elements.

 In this kind of an atmosphere the onus also lies very much on the Muslim community to come forward & accept the reality, that there are many homegrown terrorists and they should cooperate with the investigating authorities to bring the culprits to book. They should take steps to identify, isolate & alienate the terror elements from within their community, so that it becomes easier for the authorities to ensure peace & harmony.

It is atrocious, outrageous & condemnable that the secular media is trying to project a picture as though some right wing Hindu organization is involved in planting the bombs. It is quite evident that the media is frustrated that it is not able to identify any of the Hindu groups with terrorism. In its anxiety, when a Muslim dominated area is attacked, the media is speculating that it might be the handy work of a Hindu organization. The ‘mean-minded’ secular TV channels, while staging a ‘drama’ with candle lights for peace on one hand, are attempting to create a communal divide by pointing a fingure at Bajrangdal on the other hand, thereby exhibiting their double standards. The media never even imagined that the Islam terrorists would go to the extent of killing their own community men.

The investigations have so far revealed that the same kind of explosives has been used in Mumbai as well as Malegaon and that a big group is involved. The incident has once again proved that the terrorists have no religion while attacking and that they belong to one & only one religion and that they act in the name of religion.
