Conspiracy alleged behind Netaji’s disappearance

T’PURAM: Netaji Subash Foundation national chairman V P Saini alleged a conspiracy by the Congress leadership of yesteryear behind the disappearance of Netaji Subash Chandra Bose.

Saini said on Tuesday that the Congress leadership in the post-independent India had shown little interest in investigating the mysterious disappearance of Netaji or to bring to India the documents regarding the INA and Netaji available in foreign countries.

“The Congress leadership or the Congress-led governments had not taken any effort to bring the documents or hand over the relevant details to the inquiry commissions that probed Netaji’s disappearance,” Saini said.

After a prolonged wait of six decades, an inquiry commission, appointed by the NDA Government arrived at the conclusion that no air crash had occurred on August 18, 1945 at Taihoku and hence no question of Netaji’s death in the alleged plane crash.

He said that the UPA Government led by the Congress refused to supply some vital documents, which could have a decisive bearing on the findings of the commission.

Instead the government was in a hurry to reject the report of the commission.

He said that there were sufficient reasons to believe that Netaji had escaped to Soviet Union and was later arrested and put in the Siberian jail.

A memorandum signed by one crore people will be submitted to the President requesting him to accept the commission report. A national campaign would be launched in this regard.
