Senior Pracharak Satheji passed away

 Sri Shriram Satheji senior pracharak of RSS from Maharashtra  passed away on Thursday, 21st September 2006, at 11 AM, Barkatpura, Hyderabad.

Born in 1920 at Wai, Satara District,  Maharashtra,Shriram Sathe had his early education at Wai. After taking his B.Sc., from Bombay University (1942), he became a pracharak (full-time organizer) of RSS. With his uncommon organizing skills, he rapidly spread RSS activity first in Bombay and Andhra Pradesh and then Madhya pradesh.

During the last six decades, Sri Sathe talked and discoursed to people and groups and also heard from them almost everyday on topics of national interest.Apart from possessing intellectual acumen, Sri Sathe has an innate passion for details, which has been responsible for the objectivity in him.

During 1981-1996, Sri Sathe actively associated himself with Bharateeya Ithihas Sankalana Yojana and authored as many as 15 books. Notable among them are;search for the year of Bharath war, Is sandrakottas Chandragupta Maurya?, Date of Mahabharat war – the Problem, Date of Buddha, Aryans – Who were thay?,European secularism – Mother of Miscomprehensions.Most of his works were translated into several Bharatiya languages.

In 1996, Sri Sathe formed Bharateeya Sanskriti Prachar samiti at Hyderabad. The Samiti so far has published 12 books in Hindi, 10 in Telugu, 8 in English and 3 in Marathi and a Map “Ancient Civilizations before Christ”. His recent works are: Millenniums tested Bharatiya Science of History and World Civilizations Two views – Two expansions.

In 1998, he was awarded the prestigious Dr.V.S.Warkankar Naonal award at New Delhi.
