Hindu organizations should create awareness through Radio
Government of India has decided to give permission to voluntary organizations (registered under Societies Act) and educational institutions to run radio stations. Such permission will not be given to individuals, political parties, organizations linked to political parties, profit earning concerns and organizations banned by the government.
Radio still holds out as the best and cheapest media for communication and a leap forward is expected in this area. Experts consider that radio is one media which has not been fully utilized in India.
In spite of government’s guidelines and the directives, it could be sooner seen that registered voluntary organizations with vested interest shall come up at different parts of the country and they will take control of this media as well.
Hindu organizations should venture in this area since the scheme provides a suitable media for spreading awareness and information on important matters.
