Nitin Gadkari elected unopposed as Maharashtra BJP president

Mumbai, Nov 25: Nitin Gadkari was on Friday elected unopposed as president of the BJP’s Maharashtra unit at a party meeting here.
His election was a mere formality as his was the only nomination for the post.
Former Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar was the returning officer for the election. Legislative party leader Gopinath Munde was also present when Gadkari’s unanimous election was announced.
