Hinduism has answer to terrorism: Modi
New Delhi: Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi said on Monday that Hinduism had answers to solve the two most tricky issues of terrorism and environmental problems.
Modi was in Bangalore at a new temple built by Nityananda Dhyana
Peetha and said the Hindu culture taught the world about the “God who existed in the human soul.” It also taught the people that they get what they practice.
”If you are good to humanity and your country you will attain God. If you go the wrong way like the terrorists did, it was a sure receipt for disaster, the Hinduism says. Broadmindedness, tolerance and acceptance of others beliefs, which were inherent in the Hindu teachings, can help wipe out terrorism in the world,” he was quoted as saying by UNI.
Modi said the religion contributed the most in saving the environment from degradation. Trees were worshipped by the people which itself was a deed that helped environmental protection.
He said that while UN observed one day in a year as Earth Day, Indians salutes nature every day. The rivers remained unpolluted until they were treated as mother goddess by the people of India, he said.
