BJP to expand base in southern states
Hyderabad, Feb 03: The BJP would concentrate on expanding its base further in southern states, senior party leader m Venkaiah Naidu said today.
To strengthen the party in southern states it has been decided to adopt a three-pronged approach — strengthening the organisation, spreading party’s ideology and launching agitations on people’s problems, he told reporters here.
On party’s position in Andhra Pradesh, Naidu said there was scope for BJP to expand and strengthen its base since both the ruling Congress and the main Opposition TDP were “sailing in the same boat”.
Asked to comment on the reported moves by TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu to float a third front, the BJP leader said “There is no possibility of any such front in near future”.
