Protest against AP Muslim quota-BJP State leaders and activist’s arrested

Hyderabad: AP Police arrested hundred’s of BJP workers, including several state leaders, for conducting protest march against protest four per cent reservation for Muslims in government jobs and educational institutions provided by the state government.


Addressing the gathering, BJP leaders including state party president Bandaru Dattatreya criticised Chief Minister Reddy for providing reservations to Muslims despite the Supreme Court order against religion-based reservations.


Police also arrested a large number of party workers on city outskirts who were coming from Telangana districts to participate in the programme.


State president Bandaru  Dattatreya, former union minister Ch Vidyasagar Rao, city president Premsingh Rathod, general secretaries Laxman and Chinta Samba Murthy were among those arrested.
