‘Globalisation is a national threat’-Govindacharya
THRISSUR: Thinker and proponent of swadeshi movement, K N Govindacharya said that globalisation was a threat to the nation.
Inaugurating a meeting against the entry of multinational corporations into retail trade, organised by Swadeshi Jagaran Manch here on Wednesday, he said that there should be a parallel political movement against this danger.
He said that the West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharya and veteran CPM leader Jyoti Basu were welcoming multinational corporations and global giants to West Bengal.
He said that all the political parties in the country had the same attitude towards multinationals and global giants and people in the country cannot expect to be saved from the adverse impact of globalisation.
BMS all-India vice-president C K Saji Narayanan, Chamber of Commerce district unit secretary N I Varghese and others spoke.
