Victorious swayamsevaks paid Obeisance to Ram Sethu
Rameswaram: RSS swayamsevaks under Tamil Nadu state Karyavahak Vaikuntan visited the site off the coast here and offered pooja for the victory of the VHP-supported Ram Sethu Protection Committee in its mission. The RSS members, numbering around 25 and including ten women, travelled by a private boat to the Ram Sethu.
The government did not allow any person belonging to Hindu organisation which opposed causing damage to the Ram Sethu to the site since the work on the Sethusamudran Ship Canal Project started.
The dredging work in the Ram Sethu area had been stopped recently in the wake of the Supreme Court on August 31 putting on hold demolition of the Ram Sethu.
